The Afro Market Christmas Edition is more than just a marketplace. It is a full-day celebration of African culture, community, and the holiday spirit right here in Calgary.
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, we will open the doors of Thorncliffe Community Hall for a one-of-a-kind experience. Vendors, families, business leaders, and visitors will all come together under one roof.

The Marketplace
At the heart of the event is an African-inspired marketplace. Over 100 vendors will showcase:

How the Day Will Flow
Morning (8 AM – 1 PM)
Vendors will set up, and doors will open. The event will begin with a blessing for all attendees. Christmas carols will fill the air as shoppers explore the tables. Cameras will capture the excitement and broadcast live. Expect more shopping, games, and live entertainment.
Afternoon (1 PM – 5 PM)
The marketplace will buzz with shopping, music, and cultural showcases. Our MC and speakers will thrill the crowd with engaging presentations.
Evening (5 PM – 7 PM)
As the day winds down, we will have closing sales, special announcements, and final performances. A dance-off competition will add to the excitement.
From start to finish, the energy will be alive—a mix of Christmas joy and African cultural pride, featuring music and a fashion parade.
